click on change settings for the USB Input devicie, and I also did it for the desktop microphone (as I have another mic) and disable each of those by clicking on properties, then disable device.
To do this go to Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers Right Click on lifecam studio go to properties, click on the hardware tab. Since I disabled everything but the non audio camera in device management under the drivers. The button on top doesn't get configured properly. I sort of think it is the HID device that throws it off. You can try the DWORD fix, and 2 disable all the non webcam functions such as telephone mic, microphone, usb device, and HID device. This may help someone who is using windows 10 and the lifecam studio if for some reason this hasn't been fixed, I got this cam years ago but it is still pretty good as it is a 1080p cam.
